Ed's 50th Birthday

August 21, 2009 at George's Restaurant in Haverhill

Ed was suspicious but didn't expect 49 people to celebrate his birthday with him. The food was wonderful! Everyone had a choice from Filet Mignon, Baked Haddock, Chicken Stadler or Pork Tenderloin. The birthday cake was Strawberries and Creme from Tripoli's. After dinner everyone was invited to join us upstairs in Mal's Lounge to continue celebrating. Everyone had such a good time. It is always nice to get together with family and friends. I love watching my children having a good time together. They are all grown up now.

SWAP Talk

Back in April, my friend Anita encouraged me to join Swap Bot.  Anita and I have been doing swaps amongst ourselves for quite a while and we thought it would be fun to swap with people from all over the world.  I really enjoy finding just the perfect thing to brighten someone's day.  Recently, I met Nichole on Swap-Bot and we decided to do a basket swap which was a lot of fun.  Here's a picture of Nichole's completed basket...

I love the slippers, flip flops, beach picures, ocean scented candle, Moose Munch, Skittles, Notes paper, pens and especially the Jack T-shirt  and watch.  They are definitely my favorites!

From My Hometown To Yours Swap

I arrived home from our wonderful trip to Nashville and found a surprise waiting for me from Amy in Arizona.  I love to cook so Amy's selections from Fort Bowie Vineyards and Santa Cruz Chili and Spice are perfect for me to try!  I can't wait to try the Virgin Pecan Oil - It sounds wonderful!  The Pecan Honey Butter and Chardonnay Caramel Sauce are also going to be put to good use.  I have to say the Raspberry Lemonade Candle and Sachet smell so good, right through the box.  Thanks so much Amy!!!

CMA Music Fest

We finally received our tickets today!!  Two more weeks and we are off to Tennessee!

Boston

I went into Boston to attend a graduation ceremony at Mass College of Art.  Afterward, Anita and I did some shopping at Fanueil Hall.  It's always fun to walk around and look in the stores.  It was a really nice day and we had fun on our own little scavenger hunts for our swap partners.  I am working on a private swap with "Nick" and I am enjoying the private ones more than the group ones.  The "real life statues" were pretty cool.  Looked like statues, fooled lots of people.

Swap From Italy

I received a swap package today from Italy.  I have to say, I've been disappointed with the last few but was pleasantly surprised to get the cutest handmade "Jack" bag and really cute mirror.  They made my day.
